In WILD Tactics, crime runs rampant through the metropolitan megacity of Wilderness, and only a squad of outcast heroes can restore order. Drawing inspiration from XCOM’s tactical depth, the game challenges players to lead a band of anthropomorphic misfits—including ex-soldiers, ex-police, and even ex-criminals—through turn-based battles that emphasize brains over brawn.
Explore the city’s seedy streets, solve unsolved cases, and uncover a conspiracy threatening the entire Wilderness. As you progress, you’ll peel back the layers of this vibrant urban world while deploying your team to face increasingly cunning enemies.
Combat With Character
Each member of your squad brings unique abilities and weapons to the table. For example:
- Blackjack wields his trusty sawed-off shotgun, “Restless Marie,” delivering devastating close-range power.
- Kiorra relies on her dual pistols to take on multiple enemies at once.
Players can also upgrade their squad’s gear, build a base of operations, and explore the unique “utility belts” of their team members to maximize efficiency in combat.
A Fresh Perspective on the Chicken Police Universe
“The first gameplay trailer shows an early pre-alpha state of the game, so it will change a lot,” said Bánk Varga, developer at The Wild Gentlemen. “But it’s already a dynamic, colorful, and vibrant experience. We wanted to showcase a completely different side of Chicken Police’s World of Wilderness, and with 12 wild animal characters—each with their own personalities and abilities—we’re confident we hit our mark.”
