PikPok’s upcoming shelter survival horror game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is bringing some serious zombie-infested terror this Halloween season! Starting Monday, October 28, fans can jump into the game’s first Steam demo and get an early taste of the action before its full Early Access launch in 2025.
Set in 1980, within a zombie-ravaged Walton, Texas, Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days combines shelter management with heart-pounding survival horror. You’ll lead a group of survivors in a race against time as resources dwindle and the undead multiply. Scavenge through eerie, abandoned streets, gather vital supplies, and return to your base to keep your group alive. The demo teases all of this, giving players a glimpse into what it takes to survive in a collapsing world, where every step outside could be your last.
The atmosphere is rich with tension, thanks to PikPok’s stunning set design and immersive audio. From the creak of a loose floorboard to the chilling moans of the infected, every detail is crafted to heighten the dread. As you explore Walton’s abandoned streets, you’ll face moments of sheer panic—whether it’s an unexpected encounter with the undead or a misstep that cuts your scavenging trip short.
Survival isn’t just about fighting off zombies; it’s about managing your crew. You’ll meet and recruit other survivors, each with unique traits that can either help or hinder your efforts.
