Digital Eclipse has teamed up with The Tetris Company to bring us Tetris® Forever, the latest entry in their Gold Master Series. Unveiled during the recent Nintendo Direct, this epic collection is set to launch this holiday season on PC and consoles, celebrating four decades of Tetris with a blend of nostalgia and new experiences.
Tetris® Forever isn’t just about playing the classic game we all know and love—it’s about immersing yourself in the history of one of the most iconic games ever created. The collection features over 15 playable versions of Tetris, including some making their debut outside Japan. From a meticulously recreated 1984 Electronika 60 version to the fan-favorite *Tetris Battle Gaiden*, and even *Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss*, this collection is a treasure trove for both longtime fans and new players.
But that’s not all. Tetris® Forever introduces a brand-new game mode, Tetris Time Warp. In this innovative twist, you’ll warp between different eras of Tetris in real time, experiencing a variety of classic graphics, playstyles, and mechanics. It’s a fresh take on a timeless formula, designed by the creative minds at Digital Eclipse.
Beyond the gameplay, Tetris® Forever offers an in-depth look at the extraordinary story behind Tetris. With over 90 minutes of new documentary content, you’ll get to explore the friendship between Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and The Tetris Company founder Henk Rogers. Dive deep into their journey and the challenges they faced bringing Tetris to the world stage.
