Frankfurt, Germany, July 29th, 2024 – Following two substantial content updates, Keen Games is giving nearly 3 million players more control over their gaming experience with today’s update. Players can now enjoy three configurable difficulty modes across all game modes, including the new “Survival” mode for the ultimate challenge. Additionally, hidden collectibles like fossils can now be found throughout Embervale, allowing players to enhance their home’s interior with new craftable items to display weapons and armor. More character customization options are available, Twitch Drops are on the horizon, and continuous combat and class balance improvements are being made during the Early Access period.
Fearless, Foolish, or Worry-Free Gameplay
Enshrouded has always aimed to cater to a diverse range of players. The new configurable difficulty modes offer even more agency:
- Default: The baseline difficulty recommended for first-time players.
- Relaxed: Fewer enemies and more resources and loot, ideal for base-building and light-hearted adventuring.
- Hard: More enemies and increased aggression for a tougher combat experience.
- Survival: Extra survival mechanics and more aggressive enemies for those seeking a real challenge.
Players can further customize these presets with 30 different settings, adjusting elements like enemy damage, boss health, player abilities, and environmental factors. These settings are available for both single and co-op play, including dedicated servers.
Enhanced Personalization
New character customization options include additional skin tones, eye colors, and eyebrow styles. Players can also revamp their armor sets and weapons with ease. Base decoration gets a boost with new craftable items and display options for armor and weapons, allowing players to create a personalized space both inside and out.
Continuous Quality of Life and Balance Improvements
Keen Games values player feedback and continues to refine the game based on community input. The latest update includes improvements to combat mechanics, such as parrying and blocking, and balances to melee and mage classes. The team is committed to ongoing dialogue and further enhancements.
This update also features menu reworks (crafting, preview images), adjustments to world edges, and points of interest. Additionally, FSR 3 technology is introduced for visual improvements. Future Roadmap
Enshrouded launched into Early Access on Steam on January 24th, 2024, and has reached over 2 million players with a Very Positive reception on Steam. Full 1.0 and console releases are planned for 2025. Keen Games aims to deliver at least two larger updates later this year, continuing their commitment to expanding and improving the game.
